If you fain in the day of adversity......

Adversity, downturn and ill winds are things nobody prays for. But we acknowledge that they are true to life. Here is what the Bible says about those seasons

of adversity in proverbs 24:10(NKJV)

10 If you faint in the day of adversity, your strength is small.

They way to handle season of adversity therefore is to increase inner strength.

The Bible tells us that God is the source of true strength as revealed in Ephesians 6:10(NRSV) 10 Finally, be strong in the lord and in the strength of his power

The Bible also tells us that the Holy Spirit is the giver of this inner strength from the lord God almighty  as revealed in Ephesians 3:16(NLT)16 I pray that from His glorious, unlimited resources He will empower you with inner strength through the Holy Spirit.

Nobody asks for adversity; nobody wants adversity. But if adversity does come, we must match it with equivalent inner strength that the Holy Spirit of God provides.

Our lord Jesus Christ promise to send the Holy Spirit into the heart of anyone and everyone who comes to Him and receives Him as lord and saviour.

John 14:15-17 (NIV)  If you loves me, you will obey what I command. And I will ask the Father, and He will give another counselor to be with you forever the spirit of truth. The world cannot accept Him, because it neither sees Him, for He lives with you and will be in you.

You can begin this journey with daily growth in inner strength by inviting our lord Jesus into your heart. Lets pray: Lord Jesus, please come into my heart now and be my lord and saviour. I believe you died for my sins. I believe you rose from the dead to give me a new life. I promise by Your grace to obey your commands. Please send your Holy Spirit within my heart to strengthen me so that my life will manifest Your power and glory always. Thank you our father In heaven for sending your son Jesus to save my soul and so rescue me form weakness caused by sin and lust, in Jesus name I pray Amen.

John20:21-23(NKJV)

21 So Jesus said to them again, “Peace be unto you! As the Father has sent me, I also send you.”

22 And when He had said this, He breathed on them, and said to them, “Receive the Holy spirit. (Emphasis mine)

23 If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven them; if you retain the sins of any the are retained.”

Having received our Lord Jesus Christ into your life as your personal lord and savour, you can now ask Him in prayer to fill you with His Holy Spirit in the same way He sent Him to the early disciples.

Luke 11:13(NKJV)

13 If you then, being evil, know how to give good gift to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy spirit to those who ask Him!”

The Holy Spirit is our true strength in times of adversity. Give your life to Jesus and then ask Him to fill you with His Holy Spirit. Join us every Saturday at the KLS Centre for growth and a daily walk in the foot print of Jesus.

God is able to make all grace abound toward you.

Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.(2nd Cor. 9:6-8)
